Our 1552 Steel Tape is coated on both sides with adhesive ethylene copolymer. With exceptional toughness and excellent adhesion to the steel substate it has the chemical resistance and general characteristics of low-density polyethylene. It is able to bond to low, linear low, medium, and high-density polyethylene and is low carbon (ASTM A 623 77 Type MR) electrolytically chrome coated steel. Tempered to a T 3 condition for excellent formability and fabrication characteristics.
